International Solar Photovoltaic Industry Information
1) IRENA proposes a photovoltaic installation target of 8.5 terawatts in 2050!
On November 12, at the 2019 World Solar Congress in Lima, Peru, the renewable energy agency IRENA released an analysis report "The Future of Photovoltaics", urging governments to reduce policy, economic, regulatory and technological barriers to enable global solar installations. The amount will reach 2.84 terawatts in 2030 and 8.5 terawatts in 2050, and the world will have the opportunity to resist the most serious global warming problem.
2) Australia's first October of distributed photovoltaic installed capacity exceeded 1.5GW
According to the RenewEconomy website of the renewable energy research organization, in October, Australia's new installed capacity of distributed photovoltaic reached 207 MW, breaking the highest record of new installed capacity in a month. According to data from Australian solar power market consulting company Sunwiz, as of October, the total installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics in Australia reached 9.78 GW. In the first 10 months of this year, the total new installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics in Australia has exceeded 1.5 GW, a year-on-year increase of 39%. It is expected that the installed capacity will increase by about 500 MW in the next two months, and the new installed capacity of distributed photovoltaics in Australia this year will be close to 2 GW.
